Snowsports enthusiasts have long favoured Chamonix, primarily for its offering of some of the finest off-piste skiing in the Alps. From Chalet Khione, nestled at the top of the Chamonix valley, the mountains open up in every direction: carve 15km of powder down La Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi, trace the off-piste trails of La Vormaine, or conquer runs of every colour in Les Grands Montets. Warm up in Le Tour before venturing onto La Haute Route, head through the Mont Blanc tunnel for a day skiing Courmayeur, or simply find your ski legs on the nursery slopes just a five-minute walk from your door. Only a 90-minute drive from Geneva airport, Chalet Khione is a playground for skiiers, snowboarders and mountaineers alike.

With the help of Chamonix architect Catherine Le Coq-Jammes and Savoie-based interior designer Sarah Colson, we renovated all three floors of the chalet to bring more light, more space and more comfort. Local vieux bois has restored every ceiling and wall, and an extended balcony provides all bedrooms with a view of the tallest mountain in the Alps: Mont Blanc.
